He went on extensive retreat, gave countless teachings to disciples, hid terma treasures and blessed the hills and valleys. If we look at the unfolding of Guru Rinpoche’s life over time, then we could say that India was his place of training, Nepal his place of retreat, and Tibet his place of activity.

Welcome to Nepal, The country of Mount Everest and Birthplace of Lord Buddha. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport our Community Trek representatives will you receive with marigold garland. After taking at your hotel we will deliver detail trip briefing at the time of check-in or after.
Early morning drive to Namo Budha 38km east of Kathmnadu dedicated to a Buddha of previous time as a youngest Prince Mahasattva among 3 brothers. He is believed to be killed himself to fed his flesh to the hungry tigress who was nearly dead by hunger with her cubs. On the way back visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and drive back to Kathmandu.
Early morning visit to Boudhanath Stupa, the center of Tibetan Buddhism. Perform Special ceremony/Pooja with Lama in a small Buddhist center and if able to manage time then will go to visit to Kopan Monastery, couple of minute drive from Boudhanath which is highlighted as a popular monastery in the town.
About 19km south of Kathmandu valley is a culturally prosperous and thriving Newari town identified with the sacred site of Buddhism where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) had meditation. It is believed that he had subsided the obstacles and attained enlightenment at Asura Cave. There is another cave just below of Asura cave called Yanglesho where Padmasambhava is believed to be manifested in the form of Manjusri. Yang means– Yangdag Heruka one of his Yidam Deity and Sho means below.
Swayambhu is a self-arisen hillock in the valley where magnificent stupa is standing on. Very good view spot of Kathmandu valley. Patan is one of the most beautiful medieval kingdom in the valley where we can see wonderful medieval palace with temples and monasteries with beautiful wood, stone and metal carvings.
The Halesi Cave or famous Maratika Cave associated with Padmasambhava, where he attained Vidhyadhara of immorality or long life. Other beliefs hold that Buddha Amitabha and Dakinis wrote the eighteen secret Tantras (mystical ritual text) to get a long life and hidden these in the Maratika Cave inside a ritual vase/Kalasha. The water droplets from the ceiling of the cave are considered to be the potion which gives a long life and is considered to be very holy.
There are two caves one from opened from upside and from downside. In one cave Guru Padmasambhava attained Viddyadhara of Immorality or Long life and another cave he had subdued the Maras or the Maras of Death. (Meditation and ceremony with Lamas and Tour Guide)
Fly to Bhairahawa and drive to Lumbini 22km, the birthplace of Buddha. Lord Buddha the apostle of peace and the light of Asia was born in Lumbini Garden 623 BC, it is known as the center of holy faith for the millions of Buddhists all over the world. Lumbini is a historical world heritage site of Nepal declared by UNESCO. The historical values of this place are really important and an awesome place to see Buddhist culture and cultivation. The sacred Bodhi Tree and the ruins of ancient monasteries also can be seen in Lumbini.
In the Morning: Mayadevi Temple where marker stone was found to locate exact place of Birth place of Buddha, Ashokan Pillar, World Peace pagoda with important sites.
In the afternoon: Early morning visit to Tilaurakot 29km west of Lumbini, ancient capital of Kapilavasto Kingdom where Lord Buddha had spent his first 29 years before the great renunciation. There is also a museum kept the artifacts founds around that area.
Free day in KATHMANDU: Optional scenic flight on Everest or Heli Tour in the morning and souvenir shopping in the afternoon. Farewell dinner in one of the selected restaurant in the evening.
