Siddhartha Gautama, who founded Buddhism, was born in the ancient kingdom of Nepal. Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal. Emperor Ashoka of India had established a pillar in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Gradually, Buddhism became a dominant religion in sparsely populated northern areas of the country.

The first Licchavi king, Amsuvarma, married his daughter Bhrikuti to the ruler of Tibet, King Songtsen Gampo. According to legend, she received the begging bowl of the Buddha as part of her wedding dowry. It is believed that she introduced Buddhism into Tibet.

Lumbini itself very sacred place, it houses a small pond where Buddha was bathed after his birth, an image of young Buddha with his mother, a stone pillar was erected by Indian emperor Ashoka to mark the importance of the site.

Along with Lumbini and the surrounding area, in Kathmandu we visit Swyambhu Chitya the oldest stupa in the world, which was found some 2000 years ago, Bouddha Stupa the biggest stupa of the world with many Buddhist monks from Nepal and Tibet can be met.

Also, we visit Pharping (Yanglesho) is the place where Guru Padmasambhava attained the state of enlightenment and he Namobuddha Stupa is believed to be erected over the relic of Bodhisattva who sacrificed himself to feed starving mother tigress and her cubs.

Day 3: Drive to Lumbini.
Day 4: Full Day Explore Lumbini.
Day 5: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 6: Bhaktapur and Namobudha Tour.
Day 7: Visit Padmasambhava’s Asura Cave Pharping.
Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu.
