Your Trip commences with your arrival in Kathmandu City, followed by a scenic mountain drive to Manthali and a thrilling mountain flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, the gateway to Everest. Starting your trek from Lukla, traverse the Khumbu Valley, passing through picturesque Sherpa villages such as Phakding, Manjo, Namche, and Khumjung. Immerse yourself in the beauty of world-class mountains and the rich Sherpa culture.

This trek is tailored for families, leisurely hikers, and those seeking a touch of luxury. It's a trip for a lifetime of memorable experiences. The best times to embark on this adventure are from September to December and March to June.

Covering a total distance of approximately 60 kilometers over several walking days, this trek offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and comfort. If you wish to conclude your journey with a helicopter ride, we can arrange that for you in additional cost. And, if you desire to extend your stay, we can customize the program to meet your preferences.

Itenerary

Day 1

Arrive in KATHMANDU [1400m].

Upon collecting your baggage and exiting the Kathmandu airport terminal, look out for Ramesh, our friendly representative from Hike Junkies Nepal, who will be eagerly waiting to greet you. He will whisk you away to your hotel in a smooth and hassle-free transfer. To top off your arrival day, we've arranged a memorable welcome dinner for everyone to connect and unwind, afternoon will have a team meeting and gear check to ensure everyone is well-prepared or not. If you find yourself with some extra time before the trip begin, don't hesitate to let us know! We're happy to organize exciting city tours, hiking or whatever you want to do.

Day 2

Hours’ Drive to Mulkot [474m], 3 hours.

Today's a relaxed morning, so wake up at your leisure and prepare for our drive to Mulkot, Manthali. We'll hit the road for the 3-hour journey (118km) to Mulkot from Kathmandu. After reaching Mulkot, we'll either spend the night in a comfortable room.

During peak season, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu experiences heavy domestic and international traffic, leading to frequent delays and cancellations for Lukla flights. Manthali Airport, on the other hand, exclusively serves Lukla, offering shorter flights (approx. 15 minutes) and avoiding the Kathmandu congestion. This allows for more frequent operations and reduces the risk of delays.

Day 3

Drive to Manthali an hour and Fly to Lukla [2800m] 15 Minutes and Trek to Phakding [2610m], 3 hours.

Get ready for a taste of Himalayan magic! Early in the morning, we'll hop on a short flight (about 15 minutes) from Manthali Airport to Lukla, a tiny airstrip built by legends like Sir Edmund Hillary. Be prepared for jaw-dropping views of towering peaks - this is just a glimpse of what awaits!

Once we touch down in Lukla, we'll meet our crew and begin our trek up the Dudh Koshi Valley. The trail is well-marked, and even though today's hike isn't long more less 3-4 hours, we'll gain some serious altitude (almost 4,100 feet!). But don't worry, we'll take it slow and steady, and by nightfall, we'll be cozy in our accommodation in Phakding.

Day 4

Trek to Manjo [2835m], 3-4 hours.

Today, after breakfast, we embark on a serene walk to Manjo, offering picturesque views of Mount Thamserku. It's a half-day walking journey, and if time permits, you can also explore the nearby villages during the late afternoon.

Day 5

Trek to Namche Bazar [3440m], 4-5 hours.

Leaving Manjo we follow the banks of the Duhd Koshi through pine forests and across suspension bridges enterning to the Sagarmartha National Park. After the formalities of park entry, we continue our journey to the junction of the Duhd Koshi and Bhote Koshi before the final ascent of the day, which provides you with your first brief glimpse of Mount Everest, up to Namche Bazaar (3440m), the gateway to Everest and a bustling ancient trading centre. Overnight accommodation in Namche Bazaar.

Day 6

Trek to Everest View Hotel [3880m], 2 hours.

After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll to Everest View Hotel, passing through Syangbuche Airport. Revel in the breathtaking 360-degree mountain vistas, including the majestic Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. Spend the night at Hotel Everest Views, an esteemed high-altitude luxury hotel with indescribable mountain panoramas.

Day 7

Trek to Manjo [2835m], 6-7 hours.

Today, indulge in a sunrise view with a hot breakfast at Hotel Everest Views. Following this, we descend to Khumjung Village, the largest Sherpa village in the valley, for exploration. Afterward, we continue our descent to Namche, where we enjoy another hearty breakfast, and then proceed to walk down to Manjo, returning to the same lodge where you stayed on day 4.

Day 8

Trek to Lukla [2800m], 5 hours.

Today is the final walking trek of this Everest Panorama Luxury Trek. From Manjo to reach Lukla will take 4-5 hours in slow phase walk. Today marks your last night in the mountains, and it's a tradition to celebrate with a small party including your trekking crew. You can provide drinks and food as a gesture of appreciation for their hard work, making the final evening more memorable for the entire team. Expressing gratitude through tips will not only make the crew happier but also bring a different kind of happiness to your journey's conclusion.

Day 9

Fly to Manthali or Kathmandu and Drive to your Hotel.

After your trek, we arrange a flight back to Kathmandu, followed by a transfer to your hotel. If your return from Lukla falls between April 10 and May 10, 2023, and 25th Oct to Dec 15th, during the spring season, the flight will land in Manthali on one of the first flights of the day, approximately around 7-7:30 am. This timing allows for a 5-6 hour bus transfer back to Kathmandu, with an anticipated arrival in the city during the mid-late afternoon. Spend the night at Hotel Marrot Kathmandu.

Day 10

Departure Day

Today marks the final day of your journey with Community Trek. After breakfast, your adventure with us concludes.     • Rescue Evacuation: Medical Insurance and emergency rescue evacuation costs if required. (Rescue, Repatriation, Medication, Medical Tests, and Hospitalization costs.).
    • Personal Expenses: Telephone, Internet, battery recharge, shower, Laundry, any Alcoholic beverages, Boiled, water, beer, coke, and Clothing, Packing Items or Bags, Personal Medical Kit, Insurance, Personal Trekking Gears, and equipment.
    • USD 25 for extra porter per day (If extra porter demanded).
    • At times Trekkers have been delayed in Lukla awaiting return to KTM. During these times when airplanes cannot fly, Helicopter flights can be arranged (subject to their availability). The cost is approximately $600 paid by the trekker.

Do you have any medical history that may impact your ability to participate fully in the program? Program staff must have all the information they need to ensure your safety and well-being. Trekking in Nepal involves living conditions and activities that may be more physically and/or mentally demanding than you are used to. You are the best judge of your limitations – please be honest about any issues you have, as failure to disclose information in advance could severely compromise the program and in extreme cases could result in expulsion without reimbursement.
