Poon Hill Trek, is the ultimate answer to those whose quest is to dwell on paradise. The landscapes we see in movies, but rarely come across in real life when you get here in Ghorepani Poon Hill. This Trek is also known as Annapurna Sunrise Trek or Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek.

The trail welcomes visitors with forests decorated with flowering Rhododendron plants during April and March. Given the presence of various resting spots like Ghandruk, Ulleri and Tadapani, this trek is extraordinarily flexible for the duration if one can’t get enough of the natural abundance.

Situated at the height of 3,210 meters, Poon Hill provides spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and many other mountains.

♂ Where is Poon Hill Located?

Ghorepani Poon Hill is located in the north-central region of Nepal. It exists to the south-west of Annapurna Himalayas in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone. It lies 40 kilometres from Pokhara at an elevation of approximately 2874 m (9429 ft).

♂ How to Reach Poon Hill?

From Kathmandu, you will be driving or flying to Pokhara. Then from Pokhara, you will be driving to Nayapul. Take 40 minutes of drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Poon hill trekking route continues along Modi River to Tirkhedhunga. Take the escalating trail through Ulleri and Banthanti to the top of Nangethati Hill. Descend from Nangethati to Ghorepani and climb to Poon hill. From Poon hill, lower down to Ghandruk and then retrace the route to Nayapul.

♂ When is the Best season for Poon Hill Trek? 

Autumn and spring are considered the best travel seasons. March is better regarding more chances Blooming Rhododendron. The time of the year begins trekking season but not so many trekkers as much as April/May.
